The Africa–Europe Digital Innovation Bridge (AEDIB) seeks to strengthen a common digital innovation ecosystem by supporting digital innovation and start-ups in Africa and by facilitating collaboration between European and African ecosystems. It is an initiative supported by the European Commission and EU Member States under the Digital4Development (D4D) Hub.

AEDIB promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and capacity building to advance inclusive and sustainable digital transformation. It focuses on connecting innovators, policymakers, private sector actors, and ecosystem enablers to create stronger cross-continental linkages and foster the growth of digital entrepreneurship.

The session aims to:

• Explore how Africa–Europe collaboration can accelerate digital innovation and entrepreneurship
• Highlight successful initiatives and partnerships fostering sustainable digital ecosystems
• Mobilizing the private sector to support inclusive digital growth
• Facilitate dialogue among stakeholders to identify shared priorities for digital cooperation
