Appointed General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Orange Mali in August 2018, Mr. Brelotte Ba is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris. He joined the Orange Sonatel Group in 2001, where he successively held several positions including that of Director of Management Control, and Marketing Director of Orange Guinea in 2007. He was then appointed General Manager and CEO of Orange Bissau between 2008 and 2011, General Manager and CEO of Orange Niger between 2012 and 2017, and General Manager and CEO of Orange Guinea between 2017 and 2018. In Mali, Brelotte focused on accelerating the deployment of fixed and mobile broadband networks, which has made it possible to have more than 90% of the Malian population now covered by 4G, in parallel with the deployment of fiber networks for FTTH offers. Digitization is also a priority for Orange Mali, in particular to simplify the customer experience on Orange Money, and on new diversification offers. Orange Mali also announced in July 2021 the construction of a 25 MWp solar farm in collaboration with the Malian Electricity Company (EDM), which will make it the first remote self-production project in sub-Saharan Africa.
