Founded in August 1936, the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) is a public broadcaster and a major public entity under the PFMA. Guided by the Broadcasting Act, ICASA regulations, and its licence conditions, the SABC’s mandate is to inform, educate, and entertain South Africans through five television channels and 18 radio stations.
