Green Compost in Agriculture for Development (GCAD) is a Sierra Leone-based social enterprise dedicated to transforming agricultural practices and promoting sustainable land management. Founded 2018 by Abubakarr Ibrahim Ndopaie, GCAD produces high-quality organic compost, and value-added agricultural goods such as cassava garri, while providing climate-smart agricultural consultancy to smallholder farmers. To date the business has restored over 350 hectares of degraded land, composted 40,000+ tons of organic waste, and trained more than 1,500 farmers in regenerative farming techniques, resulting in a 37% increase in crop yields and a 35% rise in farmer incomes.

GCAD actively collaborates with government bodies, community leaders, and international partners to advance zero-waste living, environmental conservation, and sustainable rural livelihoods. Its mission is to empower communities with affordable, eco-friendly agricultural solutions, while fostering resilience against climate change and promoting a circular, sustainable economy in Sierra Leone and beyond.
