Buddy Learning, founded by Tshaamano Mabuba in 2022, is a peer tutoring platform aimed at making quality education accessible to students across South Africa and Botswana. Employing over 69 young people, Buddy Learning has delivered more than 800 hours of tutoring to over 300 students, helping bridge educational gaps while reducing youth unemployment. With partnerships including Varsity Vibe and the Eastern Cape Department of Basic Education, Buddy Learning is committed to impactful learning solutions.

In 2024, Buddy Learning is set to launch Buddy, an AI-driven tutor accessible via WhatsApp, supporting South African students from grade 1 to 12 in all official languages and covering IEB and NSC subjects, with plans for university expansion. Recognized as a Top 100 South African Shining Star in 2023, Buddy Learning combines technology and community impact, empowering students and reshaping education accessibility across the region.
